The FloorPro® Floor Flatness Profiler is a state of the art, easy to use robot that takes the hard work out of floor flatness measurement.

In the past, measuring floor flatness meant a time consuming, labor intensive, frustrating experience. You basically had two choices, and neither of them were very good. In the first option you held an instrument, resembling a pogo stick with two ends, and walked it across the floor, . A Short Introduction to the FloorPro®

The FloorPro® is smaller than a shoe box, weighs 11 pounds and is powered by 8 D cell batteries that last about 10 hours when in constant use.  It is a self-propelled, rolling precision inclinometer device that travels 40 feet per minute on hardened stainless steel wheels with an aluminum chassis and parts that are hard anodized to military specification. 

On the back of the durable urethane cover is an RS 232 cable port for rapid data downloading to your computer.  A carrying handle slides in and out of the front of the chassis.  On top of the cover, a back lit liquid crystal display (LCD) prompts the user to type in the necessary project information that will appear later in the headers of the computer generated TruFlat® reports. 

At the end of each survey line, the Ff and Fl Numbers, Waviness Index/ or Auto Straightedge Index results can be seen immediately in the LCD as well as being saved for future us.

First time out on each project, type in complete header information as prompted in the LCD.  After that, change only the file name and specify the RUN.  Set the FloorPro® at the start point of the survey line, aim the laser beam at a piece of reflective tape on a cardboard box target at the end of the survey line, enter the desired distance and press start. 

The robot will stop automatically at the end of the run. 

As the FloorPro® travels the survey line, many inclinometer slope readings are gathered over a 1” interval every 6”, averaged and saved as the 6” slope.  Those slopes are saved in a flash RAM (memory independent of the D cells) and used by the microprocessor to compute the flatness indexes shown in the LCD FloorPro®’s memory. 

FloorPro®’s memory is downloaded to TruFlat® in your computer to produce hard copy reports.  FloorPro® comes complete with manuals in a foam-lined carrying case that can be checked as baggage.

Questions in display encourage the operator to use the 46-key keypad to enter field survey information that will later be displayed on TruFlat® hard copy reports.  An onboard clock enters time and date for each survey line, and instructions automatically appear in the backlit LCD window to guide the operator.  After downloading the data to your computer you can erase the data from FloorPro’s® memory to avoid duplication.
